HLS VOD audio-only MP3 stream in AMS5

I'm trying to setup audio-only "HLS on-demand" stream in "AMS5". The corresponding request returns a 404 error for mp3, aac files. Contrarily the video stream(.mp4, .f4v etc..) returns the corresponding .m3u8 response in a proper fashion.

I've looked up discussion threads regarding the similar topic, but they are around 7 years prior to this date.

Are there any improvements/solutions to this problem in ams5? Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated!

Usually this issue is tied to the MIME type being recognized by the web server (apache usually) that is connected AMS5 for HLS. Not sure if that has changed or if it's a different issue.
