How does the streaming server run under VMWare?

We're thinking about trying this. What results have others had? Is this an officially supported configuration yet?

    You can use it for testing applications out but for production usage its always recommended to use actual hardware machine rather than VM.

    Hi,

    VMs are officially not supported but i do not see any issue for using them for FMS.

    In my experience, virtualized environments seem fine for VOD playback. When it comes to live streams, I tend to experience audio/video sync issues, stream freezes, and a lot more choppy playback as opposed to a server running on dedicated hardware / OS.
