Hey,

The right way is to give the fully qualified domain name for the server in place of localhost, so if your domain is streaming.fio.com, 'rtmp://server-name.streaming.fio.com/live/' is actually the correct url for this purpose.

Let me know if you are facing any problems connecting this way.

Dear Apoorva,

Thanks for the reply, i have come see that part of the problems have a solution in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4469175#4469175 some of which i have done befor, like changing the IPv4 to a public IP.

But on the Flash Media Administration console, when ever i enter a my domain name eg. "streaming.fio.com"  in to the server address text field, it retunes "login attempt to the server below failed" but will login when i enter the public IP address,

After connecting on the FMAC using a public IP address I have tried to connect from a client FMLE but retuned

" Problem with Primary server failure to connect to primary server. please verify that your Server URL and application name are valid and that your internt connection is working and retry "

I want would not want to give my IP to my cliaints, so please what can i do next.

thank you

From the look of it, it appears that you may be having some issues in reverse DNS lookup configuration for the corresponding public IP address that your server is assigned.

To check if you have appropriate settings, you may refer to this link.

Also if you find any issues with this, please go through some articles about configuring your netwrok. You may find this useful.

There is another forum query related to the problem. Go through it and see if any of the above suggestions work for you.

Apoorva.
