I did not get your problem correctly. Are you saying you are not able to connect to FMS which is somewhere else and you know its public ip?

do you know basic networking and have ports 1935 and 80 open on both the router and operating system firewalls?

    Hi,

No i know only basics. All i know is

1, Initially my system was inside some lan (local network had ip 192.168.1.xxx). And when FMS started i used to stream like

    rtmp://192.168.1.xx/vod/sample

    or

    rtmp://localhost/vod/sample

    - use to work, within the network (that lan).

    2. Now my system is in Internet. It is directly connected to internet. has some public ip.

rtmp ports  1935, and http port 80 is opened.

if i play my videos  in the 'videoplayer.html' inside FMS root folder,

    rtmp://localhost/vod/sample - still works

    but rtmp://MY_PUBLICIP/vod/sample - doesn't.

Also when i logged in to  Flash  server adminstravice console, i can login to console using

    host - localhost

    username - admin

    password -xxx

    BUT

    host - MY_PUBLIC_IP

    username - admin

    password -xxx

does not lets me to login.

Please help me to resolve this.

    Thanks.
