How to connect to Adobe Media Server Starter on Parallels VM

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Media Server Starter on my Parallels VM Windows 10. It is a requirement for a college course that we learn how to work with it. My problem is I have a MacBook Pro, hence why I use Parallels. I have followed multiple instructions to try and connect to localhost from parallels but when I put my admin and password into form and put localhost as server address it does not work. What is the correct way to work with AMS using Parallels?

Did you use the right port number? Should be 1935

Yes I selected the default port numbers. Turns out I am connected to localhost. I ran my application pointing to rtmp localhost and it connects. The problem is with the AMS admin console. When I put localhost as server address and use the password I created when  installing and setting up the server it does not respond. I click the submit button and nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to be sure I am using a valid password.

    Hi Tim,

Are you saying that AMS works fine but you cannot connect to its Admin console? If yes, can you please share the ama.ini and server.xml file from /conf/ folder?

Also, try using port 1111 for admin console.
