It's easy to record MP4 with H. 264 formatted video. I know it's feasible to record streaming video in many popular formats with an online video recorder. Then find one to convert the recorded video to the format you intended flash as3.

Or you may have got it with incubator of flashplayer 11 and the latest Flex SDK. If it can achieve this, it's definitely a more straight method for us!

    Hi Vigorcat,

I am also facing same problem and I am very happy to your confident, so please can you give some code for recording the video in MP4 format and codec H.254 for video and AAc for audio.

    I am using Flash CS5 and CS5.5 with as3.

    Thanks

AAC audio encoding is not supported in the flash player. Your choices are Nellymoser Asao, and Speex.

As of now Flash Player supports only "Sorenson Spark" codec for encoding video i.e. you can publish only Sorenson Spark codec video.

The current flashplayer incubator supports H.264 encoding. While not in public release yet, you can begin testing it using the incubator of flashplayer 11 and the latest Flex SDK
