How to send a number

Hi, say I have several instances of flash presentations running from one web page. I have another controlling application that should be able just send a number to the other presentations so they look at the same frame/picture... Do I need a comm server for that or is there any other simple / cheap way how to do it?

You surely need some sort of server based technology like comm server to do the task of sending number to each client. I'm not sure about options other than comm server.
