HOW TO STREAM DIRECTLY TO MY WEBSITE WITH FMS AND FLME?

Hello everyone and thank you in advance for the time you take to give me an answer to my question.
I need to design a Web TV for a client and I would like to know how to use FLASH MEDIA SERVER to create a live streaming system directly on a page called OUR CHANNEL IN LIVE where web users can access the web TV feed. I am able to connect FLASH LIVE MEDIA ENCODER to FLASH MEDIA SERVER and make a TEST but my problem I do not know how to make sure that what I broadcast live arrives directly on the website.

I hope I have been clear and thank you again to everyone in advance.

Setting up a stream with the Adobe Media Server (AMS) and the Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE) is not too bad to get going. The big thing to keep in mind is that you need three components to deliver the stream to your audience. Those are:

  • An encoding tool to push the stream to the server (FMLE in this case)
  • A media server to ingest the stream and encode it, as needed, and push the stream out (AMS in this case)
  • A player embedded in your website to allow users to view your stream. You could use Strobe (free) or something like JW Player (not free).

FMLE can be configured to push to your AMS instance. This is on the right hand side of the interface for that tool. The AMS application can be configured to look for media coming into it for a specific application and then deliver that out as an RTMP or HLS stream for a player to display. The player on your website should be configured to look for a specific active stream and play it when it is available. Strobe has a GUI to allow you to configure and test the stream and then provides the embed code for you to put on your website. JW Player also offers configuration tools.

Hope that helps.
