Question

How to stream MP3s with embedded images

When I stream an MP3 file with an embedded image, the first few seconds of the files are clipped.

I will need to find another server, or a viable workaround.

What is the best way to work around this?

Try setting the NetStream.bufferTime property to a higher value to stream some data into Flash Player before it starts playing.

Thanks for the reply.  I changed the buffer time on the player, and that made no difference.

Is there anything on the server-side you can suggest?

Right now it appears we have an expensive product that does not perform a very basic function which renders it effectively useless.

you will either have to remove the image using ffmpeg or find a diffrenct server flash media server doesn't support images attached to mp3's
