IE error when launching fms_adminConsole.htm

I installed Flash Media Server 3 on a brand new Windows 2003 Server configuration. FMS3 installs fine but when I click the menu to go to the administration, Internet Explorer (@%$!) pops up and says " Your security settings d not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer". I have configured every security option relating to ActiveX to "allow" and I still get this error.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get this to work? I read somewhere to use Firefox, but I'd like to be able to use IE as well. Thanks.

The problem is that Adobe Flash Player was not installed and (for whatever reason) IE would not prompt to install it since it was being referred to from a local html page. Ugh. The solution is to go to www.adobe.com/flashplayer and install the player. Be sure your security settings allow its installation. After that, the local admin page will work just fine.

Or, just throw away Internet Explorer and use Firefox which worked seemlessly.

RECOMMENDATION: The install for FMS should also install Flash Player (or at least tell the user it is required for admin and give them the option to install it).
