If I pay $499 for a support call will someone walk me through installing this mess?

Question

I just want to know if I pay the $499 support fee whether or
not someone who knows this software will walk me through it. The
instructions have skads of explanations of why the configuation
codes are what they are and long listings of stuff. People, we need
quick start guides, not History of the World Parts 1-234

What I want is a step-by-step of installing this on a server
and getting it to run. WHY does this have to be so hard?

Linux or windows? 64 bit or 32 bit? Just kidding, I sympathize for you :) FMS is a sophisticated product that is not for the feint of heart. This is one of the bigger complaints, folks want it to just work out of the box, and the Flash Media Server team is pushing hard to have this happen. I am looking at the beta for 3.5 and I submitted bugs against this very thing today.

That said, once you get up and going things are relatively easy, its just the initial time investment.
