Please, explain me that mean SIP ports 5(trial) in version Adobe Media Server 5 Starter, Adobe Media Server 5 Standard, Adobe Media Server 5 Professional, and unlike what SIP ports 25 on Adobe Media Server 5 Extended. Sorry, for my bad english. I from Russia.Thank you, for you time.<moved from downloading, installing, settingup by mod kglad>
I've looked through the scripts in the scripts/ directory, but haven't seen anything obvious.I would like to be able to specify the file name to capture the stream to. At present, the capture file is always named the same as the stream, which means if I stream for a bit, stop, then restart, the originally captured file gets overwritten. I'd like to be able to incorporate something, i.e. the stream start time, into the capture file name.Pointers to where I can do that?
I just installed the Adobe Media Server on my Windows 7 local machineOn the welcome page, I'm getting error #2032 on every video except the "Single Bitrate" one.I've tried the crossdomain.xml fix, and that didn't work.I looked for previous versions of Apache to check for port conflicts, and didn't find anything. It's frustrating that this doesn't work "out of the box"I've previously had Red5 installed, but I uninstalled that before installing AMS.
I need to know if FMS can run separate live streams on 1 instance of FMS, or do I need to create a FMS for each cannel I want to stream?

I am using RTMP connection for acceing some data from server and for video communication using RTMFP connection (peer to peer) but when i am going to close browser then it disconnect RTMP connection immediately at both end but not disconnect the RTMFP connection from one end only. Please advise me how i will disconnect RTMFP Connection at both end immediately.ThanksRam
Hi,We often run large events using the out-of-the-box FMS p2p multicast application. After the events the application connection count remains high and the application never shuts down and continues to use up resources (CPU and RAM).After a bunch of these build up, the server becomes unusable and needs to be cleared out.At first we assumed it was completely due to the audience participants not closing their browsers and therefore remaining connected to the app. After digging deeper we have found that even if 100% of the audience closes their browsers (even quits the browser entirely) the multicast application often ends up with a bunch of "stuck" connections that never go away and therefore keep the app running forever. Is this a known issue? Is there something we should know about the proper way to end a multicast event so that the application doesn't continue to run and/or use up resources?Thank you!Sincerely,Greg Pulier

Hello,I am investigating an issue that causes an FMS core to randomly restart. During this investigation I have referenced the FMS help documentation that gets me part of the way of deciphering the issue but not all of the way: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/configadmin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f29260bd-7ff3.htmlBased on the above, it appears that (w)2581256 is a (w) warning regarding the 258 (TCServer) but what is 1256 (message ID)? Where can I look it up? Also, what is TCServer? Some backgroud:1. The server version is: FMS 4.5.5 r4013 on Windows Server 2008r2 x642. The master.xx.log shows the following during the time of the error:#Version: 1.0 #Start-Date: 2013-07-02 12:02:06#Software: Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5.5 r4013 x64#Date: 2013-07-02#Fields: date time x-pid x-status &nbs

I am using livepkgr to use http dynamic streaming. When I play it back in osmf it only plays the end of the video recorded. I have tried multiple computers so i know its a default value or somthing in AMS. How can I fix it so it plays the entire recorded video not just the last few seconds every time?
(Server:W7, FMS 4.5 , FMLE 3.2 / I-7 Processor, 16GB RAM, (2) 1TB Drives in a RAID5)http://nlpcglive.hopto.orgIs there a solution out there that I can place on the admin login page that will allow the sound people to capture and record a stream and tag it without giving them login access to the server?Hi. I have had a hard time finding a solution for this problem for awhile and I know my scenario can't be that unique.I"m streaming live from withing the church soundbooth without too many problems and I have scheduled tasks setup to use a recorded stream during service times. But lets say theres a performance that needs to be recorded within the recorded stream-well, I know that I can use the dvrcast dvrcontroller.html and I do but theres a couple of key problems with this. 1. I (I as in ME) has to be the one doing it from the server. 2. I have to record it from with the default stream name then stop the recording and rename the file in Windows Explorer so that it does not get
Hi! We are trying to optimize our stream so that it will work on mobile devices. Presently, it works very good on a computer, so the f4m stream is working fine with no issues.http://66.186.176.18/hds-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.f4mHowever, when users try to play the m3u8 stream, the video is great, but the audio is terrible! Every second there's gibberish that messes up the audio feed. http://66.186.176.18/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8Here's the present settings for the stream:Frame Rate: 25H.264 Codec - Level 3.0 (for compatibility with early iOs devices) - Keyframe 4 secondsVideo Bitrate: 700 (We tried with 500 and the issue remains)size: 320 x 240 for both input/outputAudio:monoBitrate: 96Sample Rate: 44100 HzFormat: mp3Can anyone tell us why the audio is so choppy on the ios side and what settings we can change to improve it?
Hi,We have an Adobe Media Server 5.0 on AWS. We publish a h264 video stream with MP3 audio format (Stereo, 44KHz, 128Kbps). When we play the HLS stream on iOS devices, the video is fine but the audio is choppy. What settings on AMS do we need to tweak to resolve this issue? I know that there's a solution for this because if we use the Internap services to publish the stream with the same settings, the video plays fine on iOS and audio is not chopping. I must mention that we don't want to use AAC audio codec. Thanks in advance
Hi everyone,i'm trying to set up a maximum time of 30minutes to save the live content on my server (.frx files).I have configured the Event.xml file and stored it under C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Server 5\applications\livepkgr\events\streamNameIt looks like this:<Event> <EventID>streamName</EventID> <Recording> <FragmentDuration>4000</FragmentDuration> <SegmentDuration>400000</SegmentDuration> <DiskManagementDuration>0.5</DiskManagementDuration> </Recording></Event>But i still dont see any effect on my storage. I'm streaming live content and keep seeing files older than 30minutes on my server.Could anyone help me with this? Thanks, Matias.
HiI'm getting conflicting information about AMS ec2 connection limits. One source says that it is limited by some set rule, another by the hardware available.via: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/amazonec2/flashmediaserver_4.5_amazonec2.pdf"Flash Media Server on Amazon Web Services limits the number of simultaneous RTMFP connections based on the size of the AMI instance. The following table lists the number of simultaneous RTMFP connections allowed for each AMI instance type:"via: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2742646"There is not limit to concurrent connections or streams as far a the license goes.... the FMS license is per machine, so you just need a license for each machine you install on."How can I actually prediect what my large box will be able to handle?Thanks,--Peter

Hi We are facing issues when we try to cache HTTP Dynamic Straming traffic on a Squid Proxy Server. In order to avoid the proxy the send multiple request to the Adobe Media Server, we have set the the option collapsed_forwarding to on (http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/CollapsedForwarding )This option seems to work properly for a while but suddendly hangs; players are stuk on buffering status; Apache Service on Adobe Media Server logs the following erro :[info] [client : "proyx IP adress" ] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: core_output_filter: writing data to the networkPlatform Description : - Adobe Media Server 5 on RHEL 5 - Stream protocol : Http Dynamic Streaming- Proxy : Squid Proxy 2.6- 5 Players with StrobeMediaPlayerErwan
When using Adobe Media Server in a social network how can a create custom stream names. In other words each user will have their own accounts with there own uploaded videos. How can I save their videos in there own folder after recording. I am using livepkgr and it seems to work great but it only overwrites one files and keeps working with 1 file. How can I scale this for multiple users?
I came across this thread, http://forums.adobe.com/message/4929789, because I am testing a new FMS 4.5 server and I'm having several problems with live streaming.Issue 1: Server does not stream after FMLE is stopped.I set up a test FMLE 3.2 stream last week that we hope to use for an event 4 days from now. When I initially set up the FMLE live stream everything worked fine, so I stopped the encoder and started to design a site to play the live stream. When I restarted the FMLE stream today nothing worked, and looking in the corelog I found this error: "Restarting the recording after 2.000000 days is not allowed". That error led me to the thread linked above and to several others.I have tried the various suggestinons in this thread, http://forums.adobe.com/thread/959974, including:Forum Post 15: changing livestream and liveevent names: changing the names works, but this is not a good solution since I am building web pages to publish these streams and that would require changing the link
Dear All,I have made an application using cs5.5 and java with struts2 for live streaming through FMS.Architecture is like:Flash player makes get stream from camera and then transfer stream over FMS. And this flash player component is embedded in html page.Flash player contains code for all work flow like making connectivity with FMS interacting user via javascript and capturing live stream from camera. This application works well on IE, mozilla. But when it comes to woking on ios it fails as ios, as IOS does not support flash player. I have gone through many solution provided on different forums, I get there to use Adobe air with making connection using http live streaming protocol and then pakaging the solution for ios. But as per my point of view this would work as an apps for ios rather than browser based application as in my previous case. can anyone suggest me alternate solution to launch live video streaming solution to work on ios on its browser. If I am wrong in perception of wo
I have a blackmagic extreme box connected via thunderbolt to an iMAC. If i select to stream just video it works flawlessly, streaming just adio works flawlessly, but whenever I select video and audio - it disconnects within 3 minutes. This is being streamed to my own AWS servers. I have an event coming up this weekend, support would be greatly appreciated. Whether I need a different capture device or its software settings. Thank You
Hi, i would like to know if it is possible to save the set-level manifest under the livepkgr folder? And then invoque it with something like this, http://<www.amsServer.com>/hds-live/livepkgr/.....I've read in the documentation that there is an issue if you invoque the set-level manifest with an url containing /hds-live."Note: Do not include /hds-live or /hls-live in the URL that requests the set-level manifest."*adobemediaserver_.5_dev_guide.pdf (Page 15)Thanks a lot, kind regards.Matias
Hi,I've just downloaded and installed the flash media live encode 3 software. The trouble i'm having is upon launching the software i see the UI for a few seconds before i get a full screen video of my webcam. From there i don't seem to be able to get back to the UI.Seems a strange problem, even if i do ctl-alt-del and go to task manager i get back to the desktop for a few seconds and then stright back to the full screen video.Anyone any idea's on what i'm doing wrong?Cheers Paul.
Hi, I am hoping for some clarity with you on how peer to peer works. Suppose peer1 wants to do a live video call with peer2 capturing live video, audio or for playing streams. My understanding is peer1 gets its nc.nearID once it connects up to Flash Media Server. When connected to FMS it will publish a stream name .To connect successfully to peer2 .Peer2 will then have to set its farID parameter to that of peer1 nearID property. Furthermore, peer2 would need to know the published stream name of peer1. Am I correct in this? If answer is yes, then how can peer1 and peer2 exchange information and gain access to other peerIDs. Thank You.
Hi,Needed help please. On live audio streaming the latency is very low(0.5 sec). But now if the audio streams are kept open/on for hours, then the latency seems to build up.Thus when the audio streams are left on/live we start getting a hight latency of 4 seconds. On closing and opening the audio streams again the latency improves. Please help on what options we have to fix this on the flash or FMS side. Thanks,Karan
