Question

Invalid license key showing in windows event viewer from FMS Core.

Each time the server gets rebooted we receive an invalid license key warning in the event viewer application log.

Will this cause the server to stop working? Our license key is valid.

The C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 4.5\licenses folder shows the files- sif35.bin,sif40.bin,sif45.bin and sif.bin.

Thanks,

Dave

The bin files that come along with the default FMS installation will not provide any license regulations as such, and so, even with them in place, the FMS works in the 'development server flavor' making it fully functional but having restrictions in terms of connections and time limits etc.

Did you get a license file or key when you have your FMS copy ? If so, just copy it in to the licenses folder and restart the server.

Either way, the warning in the logs should not bother the functionality, though I guess it goes into the development server mode.

Hope the information is useful. Thank you !
