Question

Is FMLE the only option to deliver multi-bit rate live video to FMS?

I'd like to deliver dynamic stream from usb camera to FMS with

actionscript, because that way I can put some event handlers for motion detecting(which is the key for my service).

but so far I only found it's only possible with FMLE,which works as a standalone application, and this means I can no longer access the camera via actionscript if using FMLE.

Anyone has a similar experience?

Regards.

I found 2 threads essentially the same as mine:

Any updates after 1.5 years or so?

    HI Dynamic,

FMLE is not the only option, but the other options are all encoders similar to FMLE in style.  The Flash Player itself isn't capable of delivering multiple streams as dynamic bitrate entries.  I'm assuming that's the question within here.  If you're looking for another encoder that can be found, but for now I think the answer from above is that no, the Flash Player can't do it now.

Hi Asa, thanks for the reply!

If that's the case, can you recommend a utility that can enable multiple applications to access the same camera at the same time?

    Regards.
