Is livepkgr (HLS) capable of switching video?

We are able to successfully use livepkgr to generate an HLS stream.  We are using FMLE as the encoder.  If we do any video switching, the HLS stream will die.  Should livepkgr be capable of video switching?

    Hi,

    Switching the video based on adaptive bit rate and client bandwidth is supported. How many streams are you publishing and how? How are your switching the video? Are you using variant playlist.

    And if you are talking about the switching the video on publisher side, this should be ok as far as video and audio code, bitrate, frame-rate, frame size etc are same..

    Please elaborate on how you are trying to switch the video..
