Question

Live video on the FMS 3 machine

Hi All,
we are rather new to FMS but we already are trying it for sending live streams from webcams on clients to the FMS via the livestream application provided as a reference by Adobe. Our question - how (maybe through republishing?) can we actually VIEW the incoming video in LIVE mode on the FMS machine itself while the sessions are happening? This could be useful for on-line real time moderation, for example.
So basically we have client machine A with a webcam streaming live video to FMS machine B, and we want to see the stream live on Machine B.
TIA,
the 3g4all team.

Ok. We modified the application.xml and we can now use the "play stream" option. Our previous Q was because the option is not available on the GUI before the XML modification is done. One further Q - on the played stream one sees some "option" buttons (play/pause etc) imprinted on the video stream itself. Any way to make them go away?
    thx,

Modifying the application.xml to allow Administration console connect in debug mode can help you see all the stream being published /subscribed over an application right from admin console.

Thanks for this hint. Can you please specify how can I from the Admin Console (we are using it) I can see the actual video in a specific stream? We have been able of course to see the number of connected streams etc., but could not find in the GUI the option of actually watching/hearing the audiovisual content in a specific stream.
    TIA,
