OS for Flash streaming server 3

Hi,
we are thinking of hosting our own streaming server and wondered about what operating system to select.

The Windows option is clear, but what about Red Hat? Can Fedora 8 work also? Red Hat 4 (RHEL4 I guess..) is supported, but I observe that Red Hat 5 (RHEL5) has been released. Will it work on that OS?

    I have to submit a project which was designed at Macromedia flash, its too difficult to set the server setting. Can any one help me?

    I'm using openSUSE in a production and it works, Adobe must give supports to other linux distros because some people doesn't like RHEL.

    I have a random question in response to your statement that FMS 3 will run on Fedora 8. How do you get past the first line of the install that says "ERROR: Your distribution, unknown, is not supported by this
    Adobe Flash Media Server installer." I'm trying to install it and I'm having some fun...

    RedHat in its day was a very good system to use but there are so many more to more on the market. This would be no good for the SQL data.
