Port 1111 not working on linux install

Hey guys..

i'm new to this whole flash media server thing..

i went through the instructions for installing Flash media Server on my linux system

Everything seemed to go fine. I can stream media etc..

but when i do http://myserver.com:1111

i dont get the xml rejecting notice.. it just fails

which means i can't login into the admin panel..

can anyone help me out?!?

    but i can't get an http response..

    i know how the admin panel works i use it all the time on my local machine for dev testing..

    but on my remote server i just installed it and i can't login.. because port 1111 is not working

    i dont think i'm blocking any thing with a firewall either

    I just ran lokkit and enabled port 1111 and now it works

    I have the same problem. What is lokkit? Where can i found it?

    The admin console is a .swf that makes an RTMP connection to the admin service over port 1111. The fact that you get an HTTP response when accessing the admin service over HTTP means the service is working.

    To use the console, you need to access the admin console page (adminconsole.html) over HTTP, and then log in through the .swf.
