I am trying to find Adobes detailed hardware requirements for Flash Media Server 3.5 - The base one on site is too vague i.e. what is the storage requirements i.e. Raided harddrives - how many? Do we need something more robust i.e.SAN Want to support 500 concurrent streams @ 700kb. Can anyone help?

RAID Level 10 - But RAID is basically for redundancy & availability.

As far storage requirement, like Janaki said you need to do some math = media files * size of each file + some additional buffer.

As far as support 500 concurrent streams @ 700kb is concerned its more to do with your RAM capacity , again do some math here:

say file size of each is "z" MB, so multiply that by z * 500. Now you need not cache all the data, as suggested to start with you cankeep FLVCACHE set to 1/4th of your RAM...would suggest to start with 8GB RAM. More the merrier it is.

I know I am not on the DOT as you wanted but still ...

The storage requirement is based on the number of VOD streams and its size you have planned to host in your server.
