Protect against rtmpdump

Hi,

Does anyone know how to prevent rtmpdump from capturing FMS streams? I was alarmingly surprised how easy it was to capture my own content using a program like rtmpdump.

As far as i know its capable of bypassing swfverificaiton and rtmpe. I had domain restriction only to my domain, so you can imagine my surprise when I was able to rip all the content from my website in under a minute.

Can you please confirm if you have swfverification enabled on server side/ OR only and only rtmpe enabled on server side. After you have confirmed this, can you please share with us your FMS settings for enbaling these provisions. Note, the entire The verifications happens on server side for all cases.

In case of SWF verification, rtmpdump requires you to pass swfhash(and size) as params in order to make use of swfs verification for playing protected streams.

Hi hparmar,

I was able to get swfverification turned on, and it looks the the particular program I was using was only able to download a small portion of my stream. I will turn on rtmpe only next, but I've read that rtmp is able to capture rtmpe also. Do you know if that is true or not?
