Question

Provide a live event as video on demand after event

After streaming a live event I'm left with a directory located at:

\\[server_root]\Adobe Media Server 5\applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\livestream

with the following content:

livestream.bootstrap

livestream.control

livestream.meta

livestreamSeg522.f4f --> through to livestreamSeg1199.f4f

livestreamSeg522.f4x --> through to livestreamSeg1199.f4x

I want to be able to now provide these segments as VOD.

1. I'm assuming that this is possible and I don't need to flatten the segments

2. That somewhere there is documentation that clearly describes how to to what I'm looking to do

Any advice to steer me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    I have a similar question. I would rather not have to copy the files into the VOD folder as described in Adobe Media Server 5.0.7 * Getting started streaming media. I'd like AMS to record them to this folder by default. I think I have a solution but it requires recording the stream with the Adobe media Encoder and saving the file into a mapped directory pointing to the server's VOD folder. I have to test this theory to be sure.
