Hi,all.

I have a Question aboconfut Flash media server. we made a video conference by Flash media server.
Can flash audio/video connection go through the firewall?

yes they can go through a firewall.
But the firewall should not block RTMP traffic.
I suggest you allow RTMP connections to FMS on port 80 and 1935.

If this is not possible, you'll have to fall back to RTMPT (rtmp over http), ideally on port 80. For this to work, you'll have to switch of content based filtering on the firewall.

Convincing IT administrators to change content filtering firewall settings is the big trick. Most of my company's clients are large corporations with strict security settings and they are not very flexible when it comes to changing THEIR settings.

Does anyone know if Adobe has any plans to alter FMS so connections to it will work with default firewall settings? I ask because many of the corporations that are having trouble making connections to our FlashCom server do not have trouble connecting to our WindowsMedia and RealMedia servers. Why is that? Is the structure of the WM and RM servers that much different than the FMS? Is it that WM and RM technologies have been around much longer and corporations trust those technologies?
