receiveVideoFPS not working with H.264 stream

Hi,

The receiveVideoFps method of the NetStream worked fine untill I switched to H.264 videos. Is there any alternate or a setting that I am missing to make this method work.

Note: It does STOP the stream when parameter 0 is passed!!!

Thanks,

Sahil.

I haven't tried it myself if receiveVideoFps works for H264 or not but ROBERT REINHARDT had posted in one of the queries that it doesn't work for H264 and works for only Spark/H.263 streams.

Following is the thread for your refernce. http://forums.adobe.com/message/3841837#3841837.

    Hi Manish,

Thanks for answering, now atleast the confusion is removed. Have you found time to try it at your end? Please see if you can provide a fix to the issue that would be an immense help. One thing that i could find is that netStream.receiveVideoFps(0)  does work and stops the video but any value other than 0 does not work.

And is there any other way to  manage low bandwidth situations.

    Thanks

    Sahil.

So is there a way to set your users' feeds to use Spark/H.263 instead of 264 ?? Is that a frontend setting or an AMS setting ?

I posted a response to this months back and still haven't gotten any feedback on it.

Is this something adobe is planning on fixing ??
