Recommended content mgmt tools

Looking for a tool that sits "in front of" FMS that will allow us to better manage our content.  Looking for basic capabilities:

- Ability to upload file to FMS

- Update/modify meta-data in the content

- Control access to certain content, etc.

- API to integrate this tool into existing other tools.

    Hi Mike,

    Looking at your requirements, I can suggest you to adopt some Content Management system like DAy Software, Drupal or Alfresco alongwith your Flash Media Server installation.

    Using these you can have your FMS installed on a server and configure your FMS to pick media from a shared accessible location which can be the your CMS's hosted file server.

    These CMS allow you to upload any media to a centrally hosted web server, actively manage the metadata and allow only authenticated users to access the content.

    The uploaded content can then be streamed through FMS through a simple client swf or a player.
