Recording Questions - FMS 4,5,1,484

Hello,

We are develoing using your FMS 4,5,1,484 and would appretiate if someone can help with some important questions.

1. We are recording audio locally on the user's computer using Flash SampleData, is there a method to send a bytearray (or WAV) to the FMS for encoding to MP4?

2. We could record directly to the FMS but we are getting delay that we cannot calculate, is there something similar to Adobe FMSCheck that could give us information on the server's response including fractions of seconds? Currently our testing with Adobe FMSCheck gives us information in seconds and we the delay we are getting is less than a second.

3. Any other idea on how we can record to the FMS directly and avoid the delay? We are having the user recording on top of some original music and we need the recorded audio to be synchronized with the original tracks.

Please advise. Thanks!

FMS does nto do any transcoding nor there is way to convert bytearray to mp4 file via server.

I am still not very clear about your use case - so can you elaborate it little more in detail.

Hi,

Thank you about your answer.

I understand the info about the server's transcoding.

My case is the follow: We need to record a track on top of some original music and we need the recorded audio to be synchronized with the original tracks.

Our problem is that the recorded audio is not perfectly sincrhonized with the original track.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Miguel
