hello i test the fms 4 update 1 rtmfp streams multicast

after 10 minutes i get this message

RTMFP Multicast stream has exceeded max duration allowed; closing stream.

but i do not use IP multicast

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/helpmechoose.html

the text says 10 min limit for IP multicast and not application multicast ? whats wrong?

i use

livestream?fms.multicast.type=3&fms.multicast.groupspec=G%3A010121059f 86d081884c7d659a2feaa0c55ad015a3bf4f1b2b0b822cd15d6c15b0f00a08010c090e 6e657767726f757000051574657374

so i think it´s not IP multicast

best regards

    Hi,

Thanks for trying FMS and RTMFP.

By default, the fms installation works as a development server (sort of a trail version) and it has a time limitation for RTMFP of 10 minutes, which is what you are hitting. You need to buy one of the versions of FMS that supports full length usage.

The development server is fully functional in all aspects except for volume or time restrictions.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks you !

    hello

i read about 10 min limitation for IP multicast and 50 connections for application multicast in dev mode

so the problem for me is i can not test the installation lomger than 10 min (i cannot show my boss :>)

the strange for me is i do not use IP Multicast

the 10 min limit is for ALL rtmfp publish streams ? not only for IP multicast ?

    best regards

I guess the limitation is for all multicast connections. You would have a max connection limit of 50 and publishing for 10 min.
