RTMP sample not working

I have a red hat server.  I installed FMS4 with the "include apache2.2" option and user nobody.  I copied the webroot directory to my server's html directory and titled it "FMS".  The rtmp samples on the index.html page do not work, but the http sample does.  Trying to load rtmp://myserver.com/vod/sample.flv does not work.  the FMS port is open.

I'm new to FMS, and am simply trying to figure out a simple rtmp hello world example.  Any ideas on what might be occurring?

    I am having this same problem.  I just updated to 3.5.4 and I cannot get the RTMP examples to work.  It was working with 3.5, so I am not sure why there's a difference.  Any idea as to what may have changed that could have caused this problem?

    I just noticed that the default port 1935 isn't open on my server.  Maybe that's the problem, lol.  Yes of course  = )
