simple server side script help plz.

Can somebody tell me how to write a flash media server2 server side script which when it detects a client has connected it loads a remote shared object with an array of text data.....and when a client disconnects it loads the same remote shared object with a diffrent array....any advice would be helpful i don't have a problem with writing this client side but i would really like to write it server side and don't have any idea where to start...plz help.
