socket.io on ams

Hey all,
Just a quick question to see if this is possible! I have an ams server that's receiving streams and data. I was wondering if its possible to get a JavaScript library into ams so I can use web-sockets with to communicate between two servers.
Currently I am using ams and node. I have load vars being used but I want to try and use web-sockets like socket.io in node.
If anyone has any experience including JavaScript libraries into ams thatd be great
