Question

Streaming with FMS2 on LAN

Hi everyone,

I've tested the streaming tutorial by Stephan Richter : http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashcom/articles/broadcast_receiver.html

It works perfectly on a single computer with one client and one server application launched but when trying on two different machines on my LAN, it doesn't connect and gives no feedback !!!

I'm trying to connect with the following rtmp : rtmp://192.168.0.100/broadcast and I don't think any firewall or anything blocks the stream... I'm using WindowsXP.

If anyone could help me with advises or solutions that would be a great relief for me.
Thanks in advance.

    Hi guaca666,

You may need to set http://192.168.0.100 as trusted site from the other computer in the "Internet Properties -> Security" settings.

    Luck!

    Thanks for the answer.

I spent an entire afternoon on it before I realised it worked only with one specific computer as the server... don't know why but it works... :/

Thanks anyway for your time Jeffrey, I'll try this to make it work from any machine.
    Guaca.
