system requirements

Hi.

I have some misunderstanding about system requirements for FMS:

3.2GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 processor (dual Intel Xeon® or faster recommended) is it critical?

I need to purchase rack servers for resurch and start project with FMS. How can I chouse them?

Intel with >3,2 GHz is not easy to find (only with new E3 proc). I find some in dell and HP with single proc, but, maybe it is better choice is 2 processor system with 2,5 - 2,8 GHz???

And what abot AMD???

    I am not hardware expert - but if you think you can Intel with its new processor i.e. E3 which you specified is better than 3.2GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 processor (dual Intel Xeon®) - i dont see any reason why FMS would not work on it until unless there is major architectural differences between these two processors - but i really dont think it would be the case. If your OS works fine on it - FMS should work.

    When we give any System Requirements it means thats minimum requirement for FMS to work well and also one is tested against. But if you have advanced and better hardware than minimum requirement - as per me it should work.

    (I am assuming what Intel processor you talked about is of higher capacity - if its not I am sorry for my assumption)

    I will also try to find in meanwhile whether anyone has idea about specific hardware you talked about.
