Question

Tools to remux MP4 to F4V?

I have a friend who wishes to use F4V and Flash Media Server for his content but has over 500 files already encoded using H.264/AAC in an mp4 container. Does Adobe or anyone else offer tools to remux the MP4 files into F4V files so they do not have to re-encode from the original sources? If not, this would seem like a smart way to get better adoption of the F4V format.

Thanks.

There is no need to remux. Mp4 files work great with FMS and Flash Player. Also both are derived from the same iso standard. Sent by GoodLink (www.good.com)

Thanks for the information both of you. I contacted my friend and he said he wanted to use F4V because he could include the metadata inside the file itself whereas the mp4's would require an additional xmp file.

The FLVPost tool does not work with MP4 as it appears to only process F4V created by Flash Live Encoder.
