is it possible for FMS to transcode from WMV on the fly? probably not by itself, but could it work with another app/server to do this? is the only option to batch transcode all existing WMV assets?

    Look into on2's Flix Engine. It's what youtube, myspace uses for transcoding into flv.

    no you need to use FFMPEG or audacity to convert to MP3....flash uses they molley moser codec which can't be used without paying huge royalty fees.....MP3 also requires huge royalty fees also ....I'd contact a lawyer before I went live and was converting codecs in a production environment.
