Trying to set up a new IIS box to play vids from FMS

You'll have to forgive any general ignorance in this area ... I wasn't the one who initially set up the Flash Media Server and so much of this is new to me.

We recently created a new Web Server and I'm trying to copy over a page from our server to play a video that sits on a separate Media Server machine.

The code is identical between the 2 boxes, but the new one gets a Connection Error.

Is there anything special I have to do to allow the new server to be able to connect to the Media server?

Thank you.

This led me down the right path.

What finally fixed the issue was I had to find the Applications folder, drill down to the App I was trying to access and then find the allowedHTMLdomains.txt and allowedSWFdomains.txt files and add in the new domains I was building up.

Thanks for the response and I hope this answer may help someone else in the future

Hi Ryan,

Welcome to adobe forums.

May I know when exactly are you getting this connection error, Could you please check if you have crossdomain.xml placed inside the webroot directory of AMS server and does it allow connections from the new webserver.

Also please check the AMS logs.

Regards,

Puspendra
