URGENT HELP!!! How can I encode live video, from my video card adapter?

Hi folks,

We are a channel TV.

We need to know which software should we use to encode our broadcast video. We have a Matrox RT100 video adapter. By now, we are encoding using Windows Media Encoder. But we want to use Flash Video encoding along Flash Media Server to broadcast our live channel. I have found Sorensen OnV6 encoder for process streaming video, but I think it doesn´t process live broadcasting video signal from my Matrox adapter.

Does anyone know which software is available for this task?

Thanks in advance.

I wonder if the Flashplayer recognizes the Matrox card as a camera device. If it does, you can simply select the card as your camera device, and the Flashplayer will handle the encoding (sorenson spark).

If the Flashplayer does not recognize the card, you can use another video card that the flashplayer does recognize. i know for sure that hauppauge winTV and Osprey cards are recognized by the Flashplayer as camera devices.
