User Lookup

Hello All, I am using Flash Media Server. For RTMFP clients to connect directly to each other would I be required to create a user lookup system to exchange peerIDs such as xmpp, use a remote shared object or, create a peer registry etc.? I know this is not possible in Cirrus. But I was unsure about FMS.
