Question

Video and audio out of sync when recording with FMS

Hi guys,

We use a Flash component to allow a user on our web site to record from a Webcam on to our own Flash Media Server. The problem we are having is that the video in a 30 second FLV freezes at the 7th second but the audio continues. The video unfreezes after a couple of seconds but never catches up with the audio. At the very end there's a "Fast-forwarding" of video for the last few seconds so that at literally the last moment, everything's in sync. This happens for almost all of our recordings. Has anyone experienced this type of behavior? Any clues?

Thanks.

I am having the exact same issue, did you ever resolve it?

We are using the Red5 Flash recorder with FMS, and every now and then, the video and audio is out of sync (same issue as the original poster) after you record it, anyone know why?

you need to set the audio rate to 22 (22KHz)

thanks for helping out, I set the audio to 22 KHz on the Red5 recorder (client side), but still no dice.  I also tried using the recorder on different computers with different webcams, and the result is the same.  The video and audio is out of sync, and the video freezes at random times, any other ideas on why this is happening?
