Virtual Directory mapping to replace webroot/vod for VOD storage location

Hey everybody,

First time posting so take it easy on me if I step out of boundaries or thread protocol... no malicious intention or laziness intended.  I'm banging my head against the wall on this.

Running the default install of Adobe Media Server 5 Standard on a Windows Server 2008 box.  We've been streaming VOD fine using Flash (.flv) over rtmp for years.  Our VOD storage location is a large SAN connected to the server via fiber and mounted permanently as E:\  The content streams fine.  BTW:  We chose the SAN location when we ran out of local storage on the server itself.  I moved all of the VOD content to the SAN.    I specified virtual directory mapping to E:\media in the Application.xml file and everything is great.

Skip ahead to today, we want to stream .mp4 over HTTP instead of .flv over RTMP.  I've searched and searched for the correct location and proper syntax to create a virtual directory mapping in httpd.conf in the Apache2.2/conf location and I'm stumped.  I want to use the same E:\media storage location as we have been for rtmp streaming.  I've hit a brick wall.  I'm a broadcast engineer, not an Apache engineer.

Can anyone help and old school broadcast guy?  Much appreciated!

Bart
