Hi, I am developing a FMS web application and a bit confused.

I want to make a live webcam or audio broadcast for a user(not a chat or conference). For example a user will broadcast live and people can be able to wacth it when open that user's page. But

what is the meaning of 10 users limitation of FMS?

If I open a live webcam, Does it says max 10 users can be watch it? Is that right?

Do we have to buy product for that kind of web application?

    Hi

You seem to be on the Flash Media Development Server Edition (FMDS) which enforces a 10 connections limit on to the FMS.

When you broadcast vvideo/audio to an FMS app it uses a connection and all the users who connect to this app to view the feed also use up the connection limit. So you could have a maximum of 9 subscribers who along with one connection used by publisher make up the 10 connections allowed on FMDS.

You could compare - contrast the different editions of FMS from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/compare/

    Thanks

I already read that comparision yesterday and I

didnt figure it out what is the advantage of usign FMDS if I couldnt use it.

How many developer can be able to afford to buy this product.

What is the advantage of FMDS except to learn this product? It s sound not logically.

Is there anything I missed? Please enlight me?

FMDS is a free edition of FMS meant for trial purposes. Hence the limit on the number of connections. But it allows you to try out the various FMS features and check for viability before you decide to purchase other editions of FMS like Flash Media Interactive Server or Flash Media Streaming Server.

    Thanks
