Hello all
Please forgive me for asking what seems to be a very simple question, however I can't seem to find the answer at the moment...
We are looking to build a system where we transcode HD video to H264 and then publish this as a live stream to FMS 3.5 (the interactive version as we would like to use the DVR function on this live stream). We have the transcoding bit up and running already, so that's taken care of.
Now what I can't find is what is the best method of streaming the file to the server, what protocol should we use? From what I can see RTMP is the method from server to client, but what is the method from live video to server?
Let me know if this doesn't make sense and I'll try and explain the workflow a little better, and please forgive my newbieness!
Also, we'd rather not have to use Flash Live Video Encoder in this workflow.
Thanks in advance
