Why does cam size keep changing?

I am not sure if this post should be here...each time I test my client app, the camera settings (h & w) are different.  Any idea why?  It's a Creative Ultra Webcam.  Ultimately I will be using a Canon XL2 but using the webby for testing.

I close the test, and restart it, then the settings are good.
