Will Flash Media Server do this?

I'd like to know whether Flash Media Server is a good choice for this project...
Visitors use their microphones to record 5 seconds of audio. When they're ready, the audio is sent to the server, where its appended to the end of a large audio file that stores everyone's recordings (one after another).
The idea is that visitors would slowly create an "audio" story, each person adding 5 seconds. They're allowed to hear the last 10 seconds of the story (the previous 2 recordings) before they record, but nothing more. At some point visitors would be allowed to hear the story in its entirety.
Is it possible?
