Hi all , what Windows server do you reccomend for FMS 3.5 ,2003 or 2008 , Web server or Standard edition ?

I run FMS 3.5.3 on Win2008 R2 Standard. No issues whatsoever but make sure u have enough resources especially for apps that deal with custom streams and sharedobjects. So if u have a CPU of at least 2.8 and at least 2GB RAM u r good to go.

Thanks , here the configuration I want to use :

Intel core2duo 8400 - dual core

4GB RAM

500GB HDD

Windows 2008 Standard

....................

I may add 4 more Gigs of RAM

do you know roughtly how many connections can this server handle ?

This definitely depeds upon your app, but what i aslways do when i run into connectivity resources limits is simply split the two resources: origin/edge config.
