API - update color of layer

i am using the documentOperations call and i need to change the color of a layer, paint bucket or overlay. The documentation is incomplete. Has anyone done somethign like this and can point me in the right direction? 

 

I want to change the hex color of a layer.

This does not look like a response to the PS Api at all? How can I set an RGB value to an entire fillLayer with this endpoint: https://developer.adobe.com/photoshop/photoshop-api-docs/api/#tag/Photoshop/operation/documentOperations ?
