Hi everyone,

When I try to use Adobe PDF as a printer, in any software (Indesign, illustrator photoshop, Google Chrome, Office suite) I have this postscript file created

%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont ]%%

Stack:

/Font (Courier) /courier

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I had a look around but nothing helps me to find the proper solution. Can anyone helps me ?

Thanks

According to the message, this indicates that Courier could not be embedded because it was not found in the system.
Check if Courier is used in the document.
Or, when using a font that is not included in the system, it may be an error because it was treated as a substitute font.

This particular message should not occur because Acrobat has always shipped with a version of Courier, suitable to embed, and which should be embedded if Courier is used as a substitute (it is the default font in Distiller). So this EXACT message (not a similar one) suggests the Acrobat installation or preferences have gone wrong.

Thanks, Test_Screen_Name.

How can I reset the preferences, cause I've already re-install Acrobat DC?

Many thanks for helping us by the way.

On Mac print-to-PDF was stopped years ago. For now it still works on Windows.

Do not use the Adobe PDF printer with Photoshop (use Save as PDF), with Illustrator (use Save as PDF), with InDesign especially (use Export as PDF), with Word (use the Acrobat ribbon). You may need to use it with Chrome. Try a Repair of Acrobat.

Thanks for your answer actually you're right, it works!

I was wondering how can it work with this method and not the other one.

But who cares, I'm gonna do it like this right now. Just hoping all caracteristics are still available!

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the PostScript forum so that proper help can be offered.
