Help me understand postscript images

I have Oracle reports creating the postscript reports based on my PPD which I then send to printer.

I upgraded my Oracle reports from 6i to 10g.

The 10g postscript ps reports are 10x the size the 6i was.  After looking at the postscript, it seems like my .jpg or .bmp is whats massive in the file.  I dont understand because if I open my 6i ps file in ghostscript, the image is the same as the 10x bigger ps file from 10g.   The only real difference between them is the block below of massive characters.  But like I said, both ps files, the image looks the same.

Help me understand?

Understanding - while a fascinating journey - won't fix it. Report it as a bug to Oracle.

You have a few months to sit down and learn PostScript which is effectively a programming language?

There is nothing that we can tell you from the fragment of PostScript that you provided.

A better approach might be to have Oracle produce a PDF file and then print that via Adobe Acrobat Reader to your PostScript printer (or whatever type of printer you have).
