PostScript - Set Printer Tray for HP LaserJet 4600

Hello,
I've been fighting with this for a few days now. My company is using some third party software to generate labels for us.
I am sort of being forced into using PostScript, for the color capabilities. I have it all working as far as outputting the correct pages and graphics; but I can't seem to get it to select the Manual Feed tray (Tray 1) for it's feeder.
I've tried looking up PS references for just the printer, to see if maybe I'm just using unsupported code, but I can't seem to find any.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to select Tray 1?

The PPD for the printer can be downloaded from:

I got exactly the same problem with the same printer. HP support ask to download & install the last driver etc... I have been doing it for the 3 last months and the only result is.... headache! This printer is a joke from HP.

In all honesty, I'm not even sure how to get to the PPD files on our system (we had been using an outside programming firm, until they found out I have extensive programming experience in other languages). I'll have to check when I get back to work tomorrow.

Until then, is there anything you could suggest concerning coding methods for the postscript file itself?

No, I have no other suggestions. This is what PPD files are for: they
contain (among other things) fragments of PostScript which you are
expected to use verbatim to get the device control for that printer
model. There is no generic solution.

Notice that due to the limitations of setpagedevice, you MUST choose a
paper size that is correct for the tray as well as choosing the tray.
So you use multiple fragments. This is what printer drivers have to
do.

Have you tried using the PPD file?
