Most printers will support thngs like duplex and page size with a setpagedevice.

For more complex things that are printer specific e.g. open a simple word document

and print ito file via the PPD to your target printer. Repeat with the feature you

want now tiurned on and then diff the files.

<<

  /Duplex true

  /PageSize [612 792]

  /PageOffset [ 144 -72]

  /NumCopies 9

>> setpagedevice

There is nothing standard in PostScript for device control beyond page size (though there is a standard framework which printers tend to follow). Each printer has its own specific set of job control, and you should refer to the "PostScript Language Supplement" for your printer to find what it supports. (If it is Adobe PostScript, I understand there must be such a document, though it can be hard to find).

The PPD file for a printer also contains PostScript fragments for various popular device control tasks.
