Unsupported Characters when converting .ps to GIF

Hi All,

I have attached a sample .ps file. Upon converting this, I am getting some junk characters (I have inserted some special characters such as #$ etc..) in the GIF output. Please help me out in resolving this.

Why these characters are not supported...

I have attached the input sample, intermediate .ps file and output sample.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Jawahar

After looking into your files, I found that your dpost.ps seems to be quite old – it does not support

modifying the encoding (the "character set") of a font and relies on the printer (or whatever interprets

the PS job) having the required fonts resident.

As I currently do not have an old style SYSV lp system at hand, I have no chance to debug your

PostScript files (exept running them through Ghostscript), especially I cannot check if your missing characters

get really inot the PS files.

Sorry,

Helge
