ACaslonPro Bold font issue in Vista

I installed Ilustrator CS3 and so the ACaslon Pro family fonts in the font folder in Vista was installed. Later I replaced those by the ACaslon Pro fonts from Font Folio 11. Event those appear in the font folder of Vista, I cannot see then and use with any application. Later in properties I noticed that the original font name ACaslon-Pro-Bold.otf has been renamed to ACaslonPro-Bold_2.otf. If I tried to delete _2 , a window error appears saying that ACaslonPro-Bold.otf already exists, which is not the case.

Can somebody tell me how to solve this problem?

    Most likely, the list of fonts in the Windows registry has gotten out of sync with what is actually in your system Fonts directory. The easiest way to deal with this is to buy a Windows registry cleaner, and run it.
